ha ha!! Really? Well that's cool! His personality in it stuck out so strong to me it was one of the reasons I decided that it would be fun to illustrate this fanfic. So I have to say that in a way I also like Atem in this fanfic!
But Seto will always be my all time favorite though. I adore the vast amounts of character depth he has.
The one thing I'd have to say that I don't like about this fanfic is the way Serenity is protrayed. : /
I'm not sure if I agree with her character being so mean and vengeful. Plus I've never been a fan of Silentshipping...ah ha

Yeah! The fanfic was really great! Yes I know you are fan of Seto's!!!! But still Atem is MY fav character even in the fanfic!!!
I mst say that I found him really well illustrated in this fanfiction cause this was a normal behaviour for the Pharaoh! The Pharaoh was able to have as many wives as he wanted and even more cocubines! It wasn't neither forbidden nor illegal! Actually it was pretty common!
In egyptian hystory as far as I remember only one pharaoh showed interest to only one woman and that was Akenaton. They said that for a couple of years he was married to only one woman and they believed that he was the example of true love! However later on that example got "ruined" when he got married to another woamn too named Kiya. Or at least that is one of the million opinions that do exist!

No prob! Also that "Kiya" girl is also supposed to be Tutanhamen's mother however nothing is confirmed yet!
Other Pharaohs had countless wives and also it is well known that they were getting married to their close siblings. For example Ramses the second had more than seven wives three of them were his daughters and I think one was his sister also other wives he had were foreighn from other countries! He had more than 90 children and of course he had a harem of cocubines.
Ramses the third (if I recall correctly) it is said that he was murdered in his own harem by his very own cocubines.
As you can see back then the Pharaoh never really had one woman so it wasn't neither illegal nor unforgivable and the Pharaoh rarely ever was...loyal to one woman!
Also I must add that even Greek people had other women to quench their lust. Even though it wasn't the same as Egypt and people couldn't have many wives or marry their close relatives (such as mother, brother, daughter ech) however they had cocubines or better women that were doing this as a job! They were living a life as cocubines and they were paid for it. Courtesans. That's why that even in Greece they had something similar. Of course comparing with Greece Egypt was of course more than exessive. In Egypt working as a cocubine was marely a job like the others while working as a cocubine in Greece was either because the girl was sold as one since she was a little or because they were "booty" from some war. Of course Cocubines in Greece had money and some of them quite a great fame as well but in Egypt things were even more..."heated!"
Also as far as I know Pharaoh's Cocubines weren't paid for their jobs cause they were something like slaves or servants.

Wow!! Really?!
I knew that the Pharaoh's like to marry within their own family to keep the bloodline pure, but marrying your own daugther!! LOL
And Ramses the third was murdered in his own harem by his very own concubines?!! Very interesting. I also find the comparison between Egyptian and Greek concubines interesting as well.
Thanks for all the information! I certainly learned something new about the pharaohs and their concubines!

Yes really. Incest was allowed and even gods did it! For example the four well known brothers-sisters Osiris, Isis, Nephthys and Seth were married to each other. Osiris was married to Isis and Seth with Nephthys! So you can imagine that even gods of Egypt were performing incest, therefore the Pharaoh who was the living god on Earth of course could do the same and sometimes it was the best thing to do. Also Nephthys, because she had no children by Seth, one day got Osiris drunk and slept with him! By that another god was born, Anubis!
Well Ramses the third was murdered as they say and one point of view is this! That even his own wife planned it all along and the other cocubines with her help managed to murder him! (there is a wonderful mystery book named The Year of the Hiena that was inspired by this)
No problem at all! Whatever you need you can ask!. Some information I gave you I am not 1000% that they are true but I am almost certain! If I learn something different I'll let you know!
Also Greece was never a whole country like Egypt was. I think I have told you that before.
