Oh boy. Len got it bad. Very bad. Such impure thoughs (that kimono top is rather loose. Awesome). Although I can understand him. The Miku he's imaginating is really pretty. I like how you made his ponytail wiggle, like a dog's tail. He is happy.
Also, I'm currently having an inner fanboy moment as I see the man himself appears before me. GAKUPO. YEAH. HE IS HERE. And he looks good too. Not just his hair, which fit prefectly in the samurai universe (normal, since that was his primary inspiration), but his clothes as well. While the color theme and some details remained the same has his real look (the wrist), the kimono (I think. I'm not an expert in japanese clothes) is simple, symetrical and doesn't have so much details. It create a constrast with the more colorful and complicated designs or the twins clothes. I could be wrong, but it might reflet the philosophy of his dojo and his personallity. Modesty, humbleness, discipline and serious. Yet, the little details and the color white might indicate that each partitionner should bring a bit of himself. It's my own analysis, of course. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong. Although, his face when Len knocked over that bucket does give me a point. Someone is going to run around the compound... 20 times.

I did try to keep the feel of his original outfit while keeping it more simple. For the most part you are correct about how I'll portray Gakupo.
When it comes to training he is very strict, but his whole personality won't be completely serious, he will indeed have some moments of silliness. X3
