i read that before, personally i didn't think godzilla was that- wait i take it back but he's get better and mothra got corrupt by king ghidorah so it's wasn't entirely godzilla fault, and sure he.... 'force" mothra
but he was in heat and sure he choke mothra because she visit destroyah, and sure that he was impatient for mothra to come back so he decide to cheat on mothra with komodithrax and be neglect to minilla
but after having komodithrax and jr killed by destroyah, getting beat up by a corrupt mothra, called out by his son and friends, he get better... and than minilla dies and mothra went insane and eventually kill her
because mothra become a mass murderer and child killer, but heyΒ he take better care of minya and decide to become a guardian of earth ,so it alls good
