This is fantastic! From a technique standpoint the lines look great, as does the soft coloring and the slight shine in this drawing. I think it's fitting that Ed's old cape (cloak? Jacket? What is the exact article of clothing exactly? =/ I'm not trying to seem ignorant or stupid, I just can't think of the right term to fit what his garment is. 
Anyway, Ed's dialogue is hilarious as is this whole scene.

Though Ed's son doens't quite look 12 yet I don't care! This is awesomeness! Heh it's such a cute idea and I think it's really cute and sentimental both at the same time. Grown up Edo looks quite sexy in his uniform too
