I love the texture, but the face is a little too busy. I think a solid single shape to tie it together would make for a more iconic image. A rule of thumb I try to follow---and feel free to ignore this, it's just my idea----but I believe an image is "iconic" or memorable if you can show it to a six year old, give them a crayon, and they can draw it recognizably. A design needs a big statement that instantly identifies it.
