The video was filmed in 1984. Fatso was being controlled by his owner Charlie Schmidt and was pretending to press the keys. In 1987, Fatso died of an unknown cause but Charlie later got a new cat called "Bento", which he used to make new Keyboard Cat videos. Sadly, Bento died in 2018.
