Station management has left a message in the men's bathroom urging us all to conserve water. It consists of a terrible wailing sound, like an infant with colic, but more mature than that, and the word, "NO," scrawled on the wall by the sink in what appears to be human blood.

Nightvale, I do not mean to sound unduly moralizing, but, despite its unorthodox delivery, station management does make a valid point. We live in a desert. Water is a scarce resource. Conserving it make good environmental sense and prevents you from being a horrible person. Here are some tips on conserving water:

Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth, replace your water-hungry lawn with native shrubs and cactus, limit your time in the shower, stop showering, instead of reaching for a tall, cool, refreshing glass of water, try an alternative, like lemonade. Or tears.
