A quick sketch of my little family, dated 6th January 2009, doodled when we got back to Nottingham after Christmas. Mariella had just gotten over a nasty illness, which she suffered with for a few weeks - we weren't expecting her to survive long enough to make the journey down to Exeter, let alone come back to Nottingham with us! But she was strong, and she pulled through.

Since we brought her home from Pet Mart on Monday 24th September 2007, right up until we shared her last cuddle on Sunday 8th March 2009, Mariella was a good friend to us both, regardless of the occasional hole in a television wire or cushion cover. We both miss her more than we can even comprehend ourselves, and she will never be forgotten.
