This! This makes me laugh so much cause I play girl chars in MMO games. I am a G.I.R.L. I am almost always open and up front about being a guy. I don't hide it. I don't care what people thing. I have a very valid reason to play a girl char.
Though some times I am busy with stuff or though i mentioned I was a guy, but didn't. So I get other male players who would try to butter me up with free stuff. Someone gave me a limited outfit in Mabinogi once. When I realized what happened I told him I was a guy. He was livid. I did not ask for anything, he just assumed before even talking to me. I offered to give it back but they just rage quite. Oh well.
I understand how these dark powers work. And these things happened to me in non-voice chat. Are these guys really that desperate.
Funny thing (even though I know I am sure I told him), my best friend and now roommate thought I was a girl for well over 6 months. I may have to start using more voice that for party runs. Been getting to much attention in GW2 lately.
