Description
A map of my D&D Campaign made on Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator. I created several towns with no story that were meant for the players starting towns. Several of them got flushed out and one even turned into a massive arc for the campaign that will be its own post, and was louded by my players as the best arc of the campaign that all the players were invested in (which I ended up rushing through because I'm still learning to let the players take time to breath in towns and not just sending them from location to location).Potential spoilers for those in my campaign.
From left to right
Aurelia, a Pirate town that is funded by the "X? Orginization" to secure the borders. They are burdened with the knowledge that there are other continents in the world besides this one, and being closest to the only neighboring continent with any naval capabilities.
Tribland: Home to Fighters Guild, a sparing school for those that want to learn how to fight. They are run by Gobblebright, an goblin with an eye for coin. Slightly north is an unmarked area that is home to the Changelings.
Lyria: A massive druidic cove of satyrs that migrate around the lake as their huts become to "dirty" to continue to be used. They are then burned down and the ashes are used to fertilize the terrain before moving on.
Free Town: Known for the massive vineyards that are used in the making of Gimble's Reserve, a wine that is so refined that it sells for around 1K a bottle. The town is home to the newly formed Bards College, funded by Gimble, probably the second richest person on the continent. Unmarked to the north is a haunted forest, where all tree's point to the center.
Phyr: A small town that's main trade is in meats. Due to the overabundance in vegetable rations, meat is rarer and more expensive making the Trackers Guild quite lucrative.
Phyrisys: The seat of elvish power, rare are there people who have seen the inside of the great city tucked into the corner of the mountain range. Most adventurers from here are sent out to collect scrolls to help the elves to horde knowledge. While impressive, their library cant compare to the true library.
Haunted Swamp: Stories of this swamp keep people away as people who wander into it rarely leave. While Grung are rare, they are recognized as the head of the church is a Golden Grung. There used to be a pair of waring dragons that roamed the swamp, but they recently disappeared.
D'Varna: Home of the Church of Zai, this town is an opulent marble town where dwarves mine the mountains to provide the metal that they sell to Neon City as their primary trade.
Etropa: TBD. Will be heavy sorcerer presence here.
Jail: Home of the Lawbringers, the fully independent police force that is respected and revered across the continent. The pathway leading up to the headquarters of the Lawbringers has a name in each brick of a retired Lawbringer, one of the most prestigious honors they can bestow. At the base of the tower is a wall of spikes, with several aging skulls impaled upon them, all Lawbringers that were found to be corrupt were executed and put out front as a warning to those that would join that your oath is sacred.
Mildonia: TBD
Library: A fabled village that houses the best schools and most advanced research in the continent, for those that can pass the entrance test to even get into see it. A massive floating sphere of water in the middle of a mountain range with several small village size land masses orbiting around it locked at different elevations.
Neon City: Due to her chaotic nature, Levina cannot contain the contestant discharge of electricity, which the engineers found to be the perfect way to keep the lights on. Neon City is the only location with electricity as they are able to use Leviana as a generator and tap into her electric discharge as she walks through the town. Advances have been made recently that may replace her as the leader of the town, as reliance on her ability would wane and her mental stability would no longer threaten the town.
Montania: TBD
Market City: Home of the (X?) Organization, the largest mercenary guild on the continent. If you want a job done, no matter the merits or morality, they can get it done, for a price. It is here where the adventure begins.
Ground Zero: In the desert known as "The Scar of the Old World", is the actual battleground that ended the 5th Creators War. It is considered a holy site by the Church of Zai and is a pilgrimage site. There is also rumored to be a Tiefling village nearby that is a pilgrimage site for those that follow the doctrine of The Truthers.
The Grand Yuan-Ti Empire: A seclusive jungle based people, the Yuan-Ti are only ever seen in small numbers, usually collecting slaves. They're capitol is so well secluded that direct conflict with the Empire would end poorly for anyone that attempted.
Claytons Farm: The main source of food for the continent, Clayton and his Firbolg assistants keep a massive farm running and deliver shipments to all the other holds, from Lawbringer to bandit camp, if you have mouths to feed, Clayton lets no one go hungry if he can help it.
Remnant: A small little hovel that doesn't seem to have any significance.
