The story behind this sketch is utterly unbelievable.I drew this sketch a long time ago, I don’t know when. It was an attempt to bring forth what I imagined my perfect…mate, for lack of a better word, would look like. Scruffy hair, deep emotional eyes, lean form, just the fanciful basics that I knew I really liked. You always see in Shojo-ai anime and manga those very romantic anime scenes where the guy carries the girl somewhere. So I just doodled a little design.
After drawing this image, about a month later I ended up meeting one of my boyfriend’s friends, who had just recently moved here, and he looked exactly like this picture! Nathan was his name.
I was a bit confused but thought nothing of it, until my boyfriend and I mutually broke up and I started dating Nathan.
We were together for three years and then on Jun 3, 2011 he proposed. We are now happily married [link]
Sorry for the glimpse into my life, but I find the whole serendipity of this rather humorous and exciting. But again I apologize if it was not what you usually like to read in a

and the reason why ppl love this so much is, the story and the drawning ... you didnt just draw this sketch you put yourself into it ... and then when you met your bf this piece became special to you... and the fact that you let ppl understand its "value" to you ... it makes it even special-er

i know this is alittle odd but i loved this pic so much i took the basic idea of the guy holding the girl and looking at her with very loving eyes and did my own version but with characters with wolf ears!
and honestly i think it's really sweet how you and your bf ended up, i actually met my guy on here cause he favorited one of my pieces of work ... ^w^ ironic this like that happen i guess ... either way i too think that piece of art is lucky ....

Nah, I don't mind if people use my work, even without my permission, just as long as they state that the idea or original sketch is not theirs. Which you did so you were fine, and even if your weren’t the wolf ears just sent me to the moon, so it was ok anyway.

well i have a hard time doing my own ideas .. like i can have an idea in my head but my hands wont put it on paper rite ... so even on my profile i state that mose of my work is fanart ...
but i knew yours was personal so i made a point of telling you ^w^ and the wolf ears were actually hard to place at first but i love how the girl's hair turned out

I can see why people chose to make it your most popular, it's because of the story behind it. It makes people think that love can actually be real, and not be a pointless emotion. The fact that you drew that, and it technically became a reality is the beauty in it, and behind it. ^ ^ This drawing makes me want to see more of your gallery, too. You are a very lovely artist.

Wells, I likes it coz it simple, cute and (duh) manga styled. Who doesnt like them nowadays? It jus seems calming with the light pencil marks and all (or paint or wateva it was).

Your art isn't insignificant, hell you are dong a lot better then when I first stared on DA. You should see some of my really old submissions, they were god awful.
