This year I'm taking part in the 2011 Penny Black Project. The Penny Black Project is a collective encouraging time poor individuals to be more creative. Six postage stamp inspired projects, six weeks apart. It's first time I've designed my own pattern and here is a link to the brief - [link]

Give a group of kids a colouring book and you will find some pages will look like vomited rainbow while others colour meticulously within the predetermined spaces. I was the latter, so really struggled when I knew I couldn't deliver a piece within the 5mm wide by 28mm high dimensions. But I have managed to deliver on the yellow theme with the 80s icon, Pacman! This piece was designed in Adobe Photoshop, features whole stitches, five thread colours and was inspired by the four dot colour proofs that you occasionally find attached to traditional stamp sheets.
