Graphite and acrylics on paper.83x59cm
Yes, I am actually capable of doing tradit art, though drawing on A1 paper scares me more than a little. (My arms still hurt from dragging that graphite.... actually it's not even a pen anymore just a blunt slab... thing. Up the canvas. For hours. Because it took a lot longer than it should have.) Done for a school project which I got a little sidetracked on. And yes, I have weird chess pieces.
The painting/drawing (it falls somewhere in between?) was inspired by Ian Murphy, an incredible artist whom you should check out (also he's a really nice guy, not to mention an very good teacher). He does gorgeous paintings which are up for sale right now, actually. *Waves you in general direction of Ian Murphy*.
((The photo's not great, primarily because it is frankly impossible to take a photo of a huge ass sheet covered in shiny graphite and white acrylics if you have light anywhere nearby. Unfortunately, light is necessary for taking good photos. Dammit.))
