Just a little something my friend requested. It's still basic and could use some more work, but it came out well in the limited time I spent working on it
The design is NOT mine! I got a reference provided used that as the basis.
Media used:
-Colour pencils
-Black marker
-Thin black pen (0.4 and 0.05 width)
-Eraser for lightning
Reference:
-Photo of man with this dragon tattooed on his back (my friend stumbled on it, I don't know where). I slightly changed the layout, shadows and added shadows in the bg. It's not traced, but I drew the same thing basically - the idea forthis dragon design is someone else's! If anyone knows about the original, please notify me!

Basic? I care to disagree, more like complex and "how in the world did he do that shadowing". Yes, indeed how in the world did you do that shadowing, it's amazing and I love it. Awesome perspective as well, very rarely you see drawings made from this perspective, though the perspective does make figuring out the position and the angle of the left wing a bit hard. Awesome detailing awesome shadowing, that is all, great work!

Whoa thanks for the fast and nice comment - that really surprised me
For drawing and shading i used a regular black pen (0.4 width) and color pencils. Though the dragon isn't 100% original, as I used a picture of a tatoo from the net for the reference. I changed the layout so the whole dragon fits better on A4 paper and added some shadows in the back.

If you browse the newest uploads to the traditional drawing section you can really see that there are a bunch of drawings from all over the experience spectrum, there are professional drawings and then there are drawings that are made by novices who are completely new to drawing, like I am. Browsing through some of the better work may sometimes give the feeling of inferiority though
