Description
This work was inspired by the Cloud still not finished of miss Olei.I don’t know what he could have said or have done to him, but Sephiroth has still succeeded in rousing in his adversary this destructive energy that nothing – not even him – can contain.
From the drawing of Miss Olei I accentuated the pose of Cloud, both elegant (the famous contraposto of Michelangelo) and authoritarian (he catches Sephiroth by hair as one would catch the bull by horns), without withdrawing anything in the ferociousness of the gesture ; the final blow is not far, in my view…...
Masamune is broken. I know that for some I commit sacrilege ! But I would really like that the authors of FFVII explain me how such a long and fine sword can resist so long a huge cleaver as Cloud’s one.
In brief, it is finished for Sephy !

__________

Well, for Masamune, let's say that the Shinra technology makes miracles...
Thanks anyway for your compliments !

Cloud: If you think me breaking your sword was bad enough, take THIS!!! *Starts pulling on Sepy's hair*
Cool pic. For some reason I was laughing at Cloud's face, no offence tho. He looks like he could rip Seph's head off! You draw really well, I fail at humans, let alone the amazing Cloud!

To impale Sephiroth ? Oh dear ! This work is already a little bit hard for Sephy fans, and I have to be considerate of all the sensitivities, you know ; and it wouldn't be knightly from Cloud...
Thanks for your compliments !

But you got to think. I Know , Im a sephiroth fan too But karma. has it layed out.. that sephiroth would get killed. But what better way then with his own masamune. Going through him. Since he killed Cloud's love in that same fashion?

Ahah ! If you want ! Personaly, I am part of those who think that Aeris' killer is not Sephiroth but Jenova under the appearance of Sephiroth (she even appears in Tifa at a moment of the game), while the real Sephiroth, still incomplete, is regenerating in a mako cocoon...
And about the Cloris love, I think it is just an accident ; the ordered things are after the game : Cloud-Tifa (in the living world) & Zack-Aeris (in Lifestream) ! I am a unshakable CloTi !
I know, I am a rigid spirit ! ^_^

Yeah! Cloti 4-evah!
Anyway, the Sephiroth that you see before the northern cave is indeed pieces of Jenova morphing into new shapes, but I do believe Sephiroth is in complete control of them.

Aha! *Repeats* You know that is a cool way of thinking of it. Hehe. I never really thought of it as Jenova. Being there.. But.. then again.. It could also have been a clone of sephiroth.. since there where a few that where made... *pulls out a blackboard *see kids this is the real reason why sephiroth was everywhere.. An also why soldier... was a special group.. when sephiroth was in it..*lol* Anywho.. yeah... But who knows... I personally think it is.. sephiroth.. with aeris.. Just because... Aeris states she is going to fight sephiroth.. An his essence still was in the life stream, so when she started praying to the white materia.. Sephiroth probally sensed it... An then... made his appreance.. After his puppet cloud.... Didn't do what he was supposed to do..Clouds not a puppet..but that is what i was thinking when i first played the game lol.

aaaaaaaaaaaaa ,nooooooooo whyyyyyyyyyyy??? i mean common, cloud is strong, but broking sephiroth's masamune!!!!!!!! i mean sephiroth it's god,
ok now for the pic, interesting style, good lineart and expresive shading good motion too. the only thing i don't like is the composition,i mean there is lots of free space above them and they are on the bottom of the pic as it there is no place
but as a hole is good...... well, for the part of broken masamune can i just say.............die cloud die...........aaaaaaaaahhhh much better like this
p.s. as you can understand from this huge comment i'm sephiroth's fan

Ha ha... Sorry for the unpleasantness. But do not take that too seriously : it is a simple exercise of style. For the composition, it is normal : it is like a scene fly on the wall (and then it is rather well taken !). Sephiroth is an attaching character for his tragic destiny, but it is a too obvious hero. Cloud is more accessible, hero in spite of himself, unexpected chosen.
For Masamune : yes of course (as Cloud's buster sword, anyway ; I don't know if this solidity is explained officially by Square...), I just wanted to increase the dramatic side of the scene. It is an [link] 's idea, in fact ; but the drawing (called Sephiroth Hurt) has been removed, I think...

Beautifully illustrated and the comments was critical in explaining certain things that even I missed, The pose does look nice, yet you didn't copy your source of inspiration directly. The style looks like what fans would expect to see if Final Fantasy came out as a comic !
And yes...I wonder with the swords too, I guess they have pro's and cons each...Clouds would be much stronger, but a heavier load means that it would be more difficult to swing than Sephiroths one. It's a choice between strength or speed.

Cloudyfan In reply to Chromattix [2007-10-16 08:33:42 +0000 UTC]
Thank you for your interesting reaction !
For the swords, undoubtedly the weight imports little considering their strenght. But if Sephiroth's one gives him a good extension, I wonder how he does not more often plough the ground with !
This snatched victory is more an exercise of style that another thing. Of course, it is when he is driven to the wall that Cloud finds energy to overcome Sephiroth. But in AC, it does it with... calm (even gratifying his adversary with a few words of compassion), and dematerialize himself to be able "to touch" in the heart the unwavering warrior.
In my work, Cloud explodes in Hulk's way. His fury devastates all, even Masamune. That is possible or not ; I only gave myself pleasure, you understand it...
