Clovis Dye:

Bryan, a student in a programming major, finds out from Mel that there can be far worse things than not being able to understand the words your professor is saying. By the way, the first person to translate what the professor is saying in the first panel will get a free image (within reason) from myself.

Jeff G:

I'm a big Azumanga fan, so it was fun getting to draw Kimura. Hopefully I wasnt too far off.

Since I'm taking Japanese, I thought it would be fun to maybe try to understand the characters used by the asian professor... however when using a japanese dictionary/kanji sight I realized maybe it is chinese?
anyway I know what some of them mean by themselves but not the whole picture... like at the end of the top line it is referring to a foreign person and the first one is like foolish or so and so on and so fourth...

Then I decided to google translate the characters that I put on a notepad and it recognized it as chinese and the translation was this: Stupid American
I defy you to understand my

In japanese translation it is this ; įūŽå›― įŽĻįš„ stupid people,
White æ‚Ļ明 us we 違抗

So therefore I believe it is chinese and since I don't know that I go with the original google transltorness' translation.... yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It is Chinese. You will run into a lot of Chinese professors when you're taking programming classes, and many of them will have EXTREMELY THICK accents. The translation should be "Foolish Americans, I defy you to understand me!" Congratulations on being the first person I've ever seen to try and translate this, I was wondering how long it would be before someone actually took a stab at it.

OHHHH YAY LOL

I actually have a Korean professor in my Digital art lab and she has a thick accent and it is a bit hard to understand her... you have to pay so much close attention to her and it's dark and there are computers eating your energy... major ZZZ.

Yay, I'm the first!

To make a Tropic Thunder reference here as a gag:

Kimura, now a University coach for the women's running team, is making extra cash on the side by working for Alpa Cino and harvesting Booty Sweat.

At least, that's what the last panel left me with...

ROFL Oh, man.

Why are Japanese pervert characters always so funny?

Than again, do I have to ask?

When people asked Kimura why he became a highschool teacher, his only answer was: "Because I like Highschool Girls!"

I'll let the artist, Jeff, know about that; he was a little worried that Kimura might not be recognizable enough.

Ohhh my god, even though I'm not female, I myself should admit that Kimura never fails to scare even me. Just his mere presence is enough to scare even babies' bejezus outta them, methinks.

If Kimura didn't scare people, they wouldn't find him funny. If he wasn't scary, he'd just be a boring run-of-the-mill pervert.
