Hello people, let me introduce to you my original species of Plazmax! It's an open species, and if you're interested, read this over please~ one is called a Plazmin, multiple are Plazmax!

Edit: Just to specify again, only one General character is allowed per person :3 Generals are bigger, have HUGE horns, and WINGS made from plasma too! That's the differences between Normals and Generals~ you can also make Hollow General characters or Hollow Normals too~

Design notes: if you don't wanna read everything, read here for design notes! However, I'd prefer that you did read everything just for clarification. Some of these things (in purple) apply to Generals ONLY. The plasma part is always transparent, but it CAN be a gradient. Yes, Generals wear capes sealed with a button as shown

You are allowed to...

-Make as many OCs of this species as you'd like! But please refrain from making more than one General character.
-You can make adopts if you'd like, but you must tag me in these. I'll most likely wanna buy one!
-Anything that you'd like to add to your Plazmin character, go ahead and do it!
-Plazmax can have ANY ear shape, but they must be large and floofy ;0
-They can have any horn shape too, but only 1—3 horns

Plazmax (sing. Plazmin)

Anatomy

Normal: Furred, anthropomorphic or feral-like creatures with a wide variety of colours and markings. They have irregular, needle-like teeth set in a constant grinning expression, and large, glowing eyes. Their tongues are forked, and can be rather lengthy when extended. They are most marvelled, however, for the brightly coloured plasma that emerges from their bodies in various areas. This plasma forms claw-like "arms", a set of 1—3 "horns", and a shapeless "tail". When young, the clawlike arms are more paw-like. The plasma is brightly coloured and slightly transparent, and if touched can result in vaporisation. This plasma can be a flat colour OR gradient. Plasmax do not "cry" or "bleed", rather, they leak plasma from their eyes or cuts. If feeling ill, their plasma starts to drip.

Generals: a subset of Plazmax, Generals are seen as "dominant leaders" amongst the species. They are born large, and grow more so during their lives. They have much larger horns, "wings", "claws", sharper teeth, more fantastic tails, etc. It's their job to lead small packs of Plazmax. Generals also have greater control over the force that shapes their plasma tails, allowing them to have a variety of different tail shapes.

Hollows: dead or dying Plazmax. Dying- patterns and plasma have dulled and drab colours, are very weak, and have blank eyes. Dead- are completely void of plasma and will soon decompose, have white eyes, and are hollowed out.

Lore

After stars die, they can collapse to form a neutron star. Traces of plasma left over can partially solidify and form the species known as Plazmax. Matter from the neutron star they inhabit form the main bodyframe; however, these creatures are initially hollow. Before long, buildup of plasma (gassy matter charged with ions) forms within the hollowed bodies, and gives the creature life. They start out like most other species, and that's to say as infants. These infants live out and grow during their lifespan, eventually "dying off" as the plasma and body rots away.

Habits

-Plasmax do not need digested food and rather live off of the ions in their bodies
-They are capable of feeling emotions that humans experience, and are highly sociable.
-They communicate with a series of emitted pings that eerily resemble the human communication system of Morse Code
-Plazmax typically live about 100 years regularly, Generals can live up to several hundred
-They are native to neutron stars but can form on other planets with high concentrations of plasma.
-They are a relatively peaceful species but can come off as mischievous or prankster-like to other races
-Decapitation, removement of plasma, drowning, burning of any kind, and amputation of hind legs proves fatal
-The species originally forms on a neutron star, but the strength of the individuals is far lesser than average. With generations, Plazmax grow and strengthen

The Science Behind Plazmax

Seeing as they do not require respiration, have complex reproductive processes, and have no set nutrition system, Plazmax are generally not classified as proper living organisms. Their "fur" is made of strengthened material with glass-like fibers. These fibers are extremely resistant to the amount of energy (plasma in this case) they must contain

Plasma in itself, however, cannot be shaped. It's a thick-ish air, gaseous matter. But because of the electrons contained within it, it is highly susceptible to magnetic or electromagnetic fields. Each Plazmin has a weak electromagnetic field surrounding it, which shapes the plasma in its body.

USUALLY, Plazmax contain plasma made of noble gasses. Neon, argon, xenon, helium, krypton, radon, and oganesson. Depending on which matter they contain, they will be coloured differently. The plasma glows brightly when healthy

When Plazmax are sick or weakened, the field weakens. That's when the plasma loses it's shape and starts to drip
