Description
So here, my original plan was to draw Jonathan Randall, but instead of a brooding and evil British red coat I'd seen so many times inside my head. He just kind of formed into a more peaceful creature. Still, his signature smolder is present. (He wouldn't be himself without a little mischief!). And I thought to myself that it was almost an oddly calming thing to see him in such a state. With all the hatred of him throughout all the years I've read the Outlander series, I always had a guilty lingering sense of sympathy. I know that he may be undeserving of it for what he's done. But Diana's tricky with her characters. You can't _hate_ Steven Bonnet. You can't _hate_ Geillis Duncan; because they always turn out to have a weakness. And I could never fully force myself to not see their faults and wonder what they went through to form into such people. But, anyway, that's my soap box for the night, I'll be passing out now, at 4:00 am.
