Description
The Spirit Key is a mystical magic key that has been held by the guardians of the Spirit Gate, the Spirit Gatekeepers, through generations. It was held by Amaya/Owlette's grandfather (who was a Spirit Gatekeeper), but then passed away until his spirit visited Amaya in her bedroom and gave her the key, along with an old picture of him and her grandmother in their younger age during their wedding.

Appearance
The Spirit Key is dark purple with dark blue indigo rings on the bottom next to the teeth and above underneath the head of the key. The head is circular with swirly metal behind a quartet of oval-shaped opals with a light blue gemstone on top and pink and purple opals on one side of them.

Abilities
The Spirit Key can give the holder, like Amaya/Owlette, the ability to see spirits and open the Spirit Gate that will lead the holder to the Spirit World. It can also transform Amaya/Owlette into her Spirit Gatekeeper form, which has slight similarities to Iroha Tamaki's magical girl form, only with a few differences in the form, and a crossbow on Amaya/Owlette's left wrist.
