Nobody in the Albatross space hotel Rascaal works for knows where he came from or what species he is. He refuses to wear a universal translator, so no one can understand him.

When the owner, Azure was asked about Rascaal, he stated that he didn’t remember hiring him. He just showed up one day, and started repairing things. Azure began paying him to be the hotel’s repair man.

Rascaal is very mysterious to the other employees.

In his past, Rascaal was a fugitive on the run from a crime he didn’t commit. He lost his home, and his family. Part of the reason he doesn’t want to communicate with others in the hotel is because he doesn’t want to get asked questions about his past.

Despite the fact that he can’t communicate, sometimes the other employees will sit with him and enjoy the sunset together, or maybe they’ll share a meal. Rascaal isn’t heartless, he just appears that way at first impression.
