Description
Sciath was about to plunge into the undergrowth when a large dark shape leaped out and bounded over him. He ducked out of the way of a large paw and turned to leap on the back of the other lion. The large lion reared up on his back legs and shrugged the young lion off with ease.Sciath landed hard on his back, the large lion spun on his hind paws and brought his fore paws down hard, Sciath rolled to one side then the other- dodging the massive paws.
Dwala leaped on the lion and growled viciously, "LEAVE!"
The lion bucked his hind side upward suddenly, sending Dwala flying off him in a single motion.
Sciath began to stand up when the lion forced him back down with a blow to the face by the back of his paw. The lion stood over Sciath and placed a paw on his throat. He brought his other fore paw up, claws unsheathed before Xeriah chimed in.
"Wait!"
The lion stopped, his paw still raised. "You're trespassing cub." the lion growled.
"Don't I.. know you?" Xeriah quarried, tilting her head to one side.
The lion glanced over his shoulder and grunted.
Xeriah smiled a bit, "It is you!" she bounded over to the lion.
"You shouldn't have followed me." he growled looking down at the young lion who was still pinned to the ground.
"I didn't follow you.. I didn't even know that anyone lived out here.." Xeriah looked away, ashamed.
The lion sighed, letting Sciath up. He shook himself and moved off into one of the caves, "If you cubs were smart, you'd leave this place." he warned them. "This land is cursed. It's dead."
"What..." Xeriah followed slowly behind the lion before Sciath and Dwala stopped her. She watched the lion for a moment. "We're not leaving." she finally said. "We've been trying to get for too long, for us to just leave."
"Fine. Die out here. There's only enough food in the Swamp for one, and I don't intend sharing." the lion said as he lay down.
