Description
I had this scifi-ish scene in my head, a world of just rusted scrap with these tall, spire-like robot things just shambling throughout, scrounging for metal things with their thin hands to toss into the ratchety furnaces they carried on their backs...Related content

Thank you very much I think this could be a springboard to a lot of stories, little and large

Very evocative piece. The root creatures look almost organic in away, thanks to the colours and textures - they make me think of giant arthropods. I imagine a blasted irradiated landscape under a harsh sun, and an atmosphere where few fleshly beings could hope to breathe...
Also: Congratulations on the Daily Deviation!

I'd imagine the biggies to be these slow, plodding things but they'd never stop, perpetually feeding those furnaces... would be fun to see

Very cool, i love the style, gives the piece a creepy nightmarish feel
This also gives me some mtg vibes, mirrodin style

Heh this is like, after the Phyrexians lose the next war and are purged from the plane, all that's left is this shattered, ruined husk of a world, scraps of the Multiverse

I think it'd be pretty fun Or what if the set opens up and Mirrodin is just in *ruins*, like complete junk, no sign of the Phyrexians really, or if any are found they're dying and not proliferating. Β The mystery starts rolling out as to what the heck (or who the heck) happened to them and if they'll be back..maybe a fun lead-in into the next block/set haha.
Ah well, perhaps one day...although I'm sure we'll go back to Ravnica 3 more times before then

As long as that "mystery" isn't just.... more eldrazi
But yeah, would be totally awesome
Yeah, I'm just still secretly hoping well get to go back to kamigawa somedayΒ Β

It'd be great to go back, even though the chances are ultra-unlikely
And yeah I don't dig the "oh but wait!.... oh man, Eldrazi! they're everywhere!"-angle, and while I understand you can't throw out your creations every set, it'd be nice if more of the story was new rather than "let's see how the Superfriends deal with the Phyrexians|Eldrazi|Nicol Bolas|the secret agent working for those folks...oh and we have 2 new Planeswalkers!"

Very strange landscape, totally alien or perhaps so far out into the future.
Interesting to see that not all of these junk striders are of the same size.
Perhaps they all survived like in a colony/ herd with the young one
learning the ropes from their elders. They look adaptable to their environmentΒ
and can easily walks in deeper water to look and scavenged.
I'm also drawn to the piece attached to the cliff, it seem to suggest a sentient being,
overseeing the works, much like a controller.
A strange world indeed.

I like that the whole piece can be put up to interpretation/personal preference, you can craft a lot of different narratives out of the different elements ^_^

Robot 1: You know what we could use around here?
Robot 2: Don't say a floral garden-
Robot 1: A floral garden!
Robot 2: Okay. Real talk. Who the hell is going to just throw out seeds here, and how the hell are they going to grow.
Robot 1: Some one will eventually! And I'll just plant them in the dirt-
