Another design ref, this time the Starburst child! I finally remembered that i haven't posted all the designs and i'm getting back on the ball! (Please excuse any spelling mistakes, my keyboard is acting up.)

She is the older child of Sunburst and Starlight

Dusk Rain is the older child of her family and is a very powerful mare, having the raw magical ability of her mother and the knowledge of spells passed down by her father. She is a bit introverted, though very friendly if you give her the time to warm up to you, and is often found with her nose in some magic related book. She got her cutie mark after she vanquished a town-threatening, uncontrollable storm with a new spell she invented. Although she is immensely powerful, she often feels outshone by her peers. She's always trying to learn more magic, even inventing new spells (specializing in weather spells) to help everypony, in order to get her chance in the spotlight to really shine. Luster Dawn, Dusk's younger sister, goes to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns while her sister preferred to learn and spend time at the School of Friendship. This has led to the two being a bit distant in person, though they are very close when talking over scrolls. Dusk is very close to Rose Apple, both connecting over their feelings of fading into the background, and Princess Bluebelle Spark, having known her since they were both fillies due to their mothers' friendship. Due to both her parents working at the school of friendship, she has learned almost everything that the school has to teach and can often be found in the back of her parents' lessons reading about some new spell.
