You know it is about being mature and respectful to the public eye. I would not want to offend anyone's thoughts or beliefs in the public myself and that takes maturity. With freedom comes responsibility and with that it takes showing respect to others and what they believe. By saying you do not care, you show a lack of respect and maturity. You say you are not concerned with there opinion and yet you respect it, that is a contradiction and you already made an offense. Think over it please. It would make the world a better place to respect others in public were in your privacy, you can do what ever you want. In public, you have to be mind full not to harm others. That goes with one's thoughts and words.

I understand what you mean, yet I would make a distinction between "the public" and "the internet".
I think respecting someones opinions means not starting a fight about it or try to demote it by ridiculing it. We're on a thin line here, but I think by not speaking against him or his beliefs, but at the same time expressing my disagreement/disregard about it, I did both our sides justice by leaving him alone and expressing my own views. I do give expressing my views and opinions, thoughts and feelings priority, if you consider that immature or disrespectful, I will leave it at that ^^
Plus, this whole "respect others in public were in your privacy, you can do what ever you want" seems quite hypocritical to me. In a world without conflict, would we even develop a personality?

Respecting an opinion and caring about it are two different things. You may respect an opinion, in the way you understand that everyone thinks differently, but you don't care about it in the way you don't agree, something you didn't seem to understand. If someone doesn't like something is written here, or doesn't agree with it, just don't stop and move on. By criticizing the photo title he/she was also not respecting the artist's opinion, which was not offensive. People are really quick to judge others but they fail miserably at looking at themselves.

Just imagine how happy you could make a shelter animal. By showing up, giving them lots and lots of treats and love. I hope if not today you will mark a date on a calendar and make a trip to do just that

Tip: though maybe call first get info on acceptable treats to buy for all the kitties or puppies maybe bring a friend too <3
