Description
I wanted to do something batman since he is my favorite hero and has been pretty inspirational to me. I also just finally watched Dark Knight Rises and played Batman: Arkham City. I decided to try my hand at doing it in watercolors. I love watercolors, and I think this turned out pretty well.

I wanted to do the background in purple because it is both a happy, light color while simulaneously being very close to black. Batman is depressed and dark, but he has friends and people who care about him. Hell, even the Joker is kinda like a twisted family. That may have influenced my use of purple.
