Description The poem is:

I ate the/ pomegrantate/ as/ fast as I could. OUR NATURE is the thing/ that drives me/ MAD as a hare as a hatter/My lives our work,/ my thoughts drive me MAD/ as a hatter/ as a doormouse/ other people's madness/ drives me MAD

It's a commentary on the Tea Party from Alice's Adventure's Underground. The March hare represents the nature aspect of the Catholic church (you are born in sin, your nature is to sin.) A character that is full of remorse and uncertainty but his madness isn't his fault. The Hatter represents the legal aspect (Conflicting commandments, seemingly random admonishions- don't do this on sunday, dont do that on friday) A character that is mad by his ideals, much like a hatter who's straitforward and sensible industy makes him go mad from mercury poisioning. Finaly the doormouse is Lewis Carrol himself, snoozing in his dome of mathematics, being controlled by the two nonsensical aspects of the church he was employed under.
