Description
Salus --Salus is the Roman goddess of protective sigils. While I was working on this, I kept thinking of the part in Hunchback of Notre Dame where Quasimodo kept yelling 'Sanctuary!' at the end.
This image was done for the 8th San Francisco Olympians Festival in which the ancient Roman, Egyptian, and Babylonian gods are on display. Playrights create plays based off of specific subjects and artists create images based on the deities or the play.
