The nightWas without light.
Pitch black,
Devoid of purpose.
For untold years,
The sky was unchanged.
Waiting patiently.
Waiting expectantly.
Expecting change and
Newfound purpose.
Swiftly, suddenly,
You appeared.
Like a flame –
Lighting the firework,
With a spark –
That brightens my life.
You inspired me.
To outbursts of creativity,
Explosions of ingenuity,
Spontaneous festivity.
Each precious flash,
Here and then gone,
Each precious moment with you
Is pricelessly dear to me.
If the fleeting moments
Were as extraordinary to you
As they are to me,
I would not be happier.
The grand finale
Has yet to come.
So let us make it
A good one.
