Johan was a drama major. He had played a few small parts but he mostly worked behind the scenes. As a freshman, for his major he was studying things like acting, theater history, and play analysis. He would not get to courses like directing until his later years.

The sorority was doing a performance of Alice In Wonderland and as usual everyone was invited. Johan decided to attend. Although he had heard the rumors, he did not take them seriously. He was more interested if any of them would end up directing a play he would be in or vice versa.

When Johan entered the sorority house, he saw a large stage on the far side of the room. It did not look like it should be able to fit and yet it did. Some of the sorority girls not involved in the play were sitting in the audience. Johan found a seat for himself and waited for the play to start.

At the beginning of the play, Alice who played Alice came down to Johan and invited him up on stage. He got up and followed her onstage without really thinking about it. They continued with the play. All the characters treated him as if he was supposed to be there.

Whenever Alice needed to eat or drink something to make her larger or smaller, she would share it with Johan. It did not actually make them larger or smaller. However, it was causing Johan to change. He found himself wearing an outfit similar to Alice except his dress was red instead of blue. His hair grew longer, his body became more feminine, and his voice became higher and more melodious.

Eventually Johanna discovered her body had become fully female. Her mannerisms also became more feminine and she greeted people accordingly. When they called her Johan, she insisted on being called Johanna. Johan was just an unwanted nickname that was best forgotten.

Johanna stayed with Alice on her journey as they approached the Queen of Hearts. Rose, the president of the sorority, played that role herself. Unlike the others, she declared Johanna was not supposed to be there. She demanded her head. Johanna and Alice pleaded with Rose to let her live.

Rose relented and agreed to a trial. The sorority sisters would have a vote. If the majority voted to let her join the sorority, she would get to stay as the full member. If not, she did not even want to think about the consequences. She told Johanna to go backstage and wait for them to vote which she did.

After the vote, Alice called her back. Rose happily announced that Johanna had been unanimously voted into the sorority. Even Rose had voted for her. After all, the Queen of Hearts was just a character. They finished the play and then Johanna and Alice went up to their dorm room where strange occurrences were just an everyday thing.
