Thanks for the Support all of you who, Favorited, Watched, and Commented over the months I’ve been cranking work out.

Me: Get it? Support? Ha ha…

Subconscious: Ha… ha… you’re a real riot.

Me: Hey, it’s funny!

Subconscious: Right…

Anyways, about the piece. This one is special.

Please if you would take eight seconds to look at the dreadlocks, the lines, and all those little details that went into this piece’s creation.

Funny story about its creation is that this is done on scratch paper of an old holiday menu that I repurposed. It started out and just a head and boobs bust, no arms even, and I was going to leave it at that as I was very unhappy with the piece and didn’t see much merit in finishing it.

The sketch was drawn in the waking hours of the morning before work, and I didn’t end up tackling the lines until later around six that same day. After the lines came together I had something happen to me that doesn’t happen often, I realized that I was afraid to shade this piece. This only happens when I feel attached to a piece of work, and for this one to stand out was, well, remarkable.

Following in the footsteps of R. J. Hunter, one of the last big game hunters of Africa (Yes I read a lot of books about Africa, hence the Hyenas), who stated that ‘A hunter could lose his nerve when he has to go into the bush after a wounded animal. And that at that moment, the hunter can not hesitate or the fear will cease him, stopping him in his tracks.’

So to in my own artistic safari, set out to shade with a new style. Low and behold, I am quite pleased with myself as to how this one turned out. It reminds me a bit of O-Kemono’s style with line art.

Anyways, this piece was a personal triumph, as I finally have that pose down satisfactorily.

And, look she has clothes!

The reason I draw nudes so much?

Because clothes are HARD to draw!!! Seriously.
