Description Sunny jumped inside the pool and felt around until she finally came across the tunnel. She swam through and gasped when her lungs were able to reach air once more.
She looked around in awe at the dark castle. The moon was an astonishing red and the sky was a darker shade of red; almost like the night sky during a full blood moon.
She saw a castle and began to walk toward it, speeding up a bit as a cold breeze brushed against her wet clothes. She quickly ran inside the castle and shut the door behind her.
"Hello? Is someone in here? I am sorry for intruding..."
"Hmmm... What a delightful voice you have there...~" a voice sang all around her.
A strange man walked inside.
"I am Elias. I am the head of this solitary foundation that you humans refer to as a castle. And you are?"
"I am Sunny... It's nice to meet you..."
Sunny was shivering harshly. Elias showed a brief flash of sympathy before he shifted back to his egotistical demeanor. He walked off into another room and came back out with a change of clothes and a blanket-towel. He motioned to a room where Sunny could change clothes. She nodded to him in thanks and entered the room.
She walked back out in her Tron-like uniform with the blanket draped around her shoulders and sat down, huddling up with the fluffy cloth.
Elias handed her a cup of warm tea and sat across from her, watching her sip the tea idly.
Sunny blinked at him. "Isn't it a bit... Quiet in here? I mean... It would get lonely after a while."
Elias smirked at her. "And what if I wanted it that way?"
Sunny frowned. "Why would anyone want it that way? It would be horrible if I were left alone! Well, left alone more than I already am..."
Elias raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Oh? And what do you mean by that?"
Sunny frowned a bit at first. It was quite clear that he was not used to being with anyone. She sighed and decided to explain.
"Well... My father left me alone for 10 years... Thankfully, a very kind man helped to take care of me... Because where I come from , I am still not old enough to take care of myself... I am 17 years old. You would have to be 18 to live on your own."
Elias had a surprisingly sympathetic face. He sighed and pulled her in for a small hug. Sunny flinched back at first, but then hugged him back.
"This doesn't mean anything, got it?" Elias snapped halfheartedly.
Sunny smiled at him. "Yeah yeah, whatever you big softy."
Elias blushed at this and changed the subject, letting go of her. "So... You are looking for allies in this place? An admirable goal... If I were to suggest someone, it might be Uru. He has a very unique voice and is always willing to help a girl. I will show you the way, if you want."
Sunny nodded. "I would appreciate it."
Elias guided her down a spiral staircase until he came across another barrier, this one leading to an underground tunnel.
"He is just beyond here. Good luck."
Sunny smiled gratefully. "Thank you."
She kissed him on the cheek and entered, leaving the flustered count behind.
