As Sunny made her way through the barrier, she felt a chill run down her spine. She could almost hear the voices of departed spirits. Sunny shook it off. She didn't have time for this! She needed to find this 'Code' guy fast!

For some reason, she felt like doom was looming over this world. She felt... responsible, for what that's worth to the inhabitants. As she finally snapped out of her dark thinking, she came across what could only be described as 'ruins'.

Sunny gasped and ran up to a figure lying on the ground.

"Hey! Are you alright?"

He looked up at her and blinked, as if not believing that someone was here at all.

"I'm fine... I'm dead anyways."

"So then you're Code, the ghost and elf hybrid?"

"Yes... But how did you know that?"

"Well, a man told- wait... he didn't tell me what... huh?"

Sunny's eyes narrowed in confusion.

Code tilted his head before standing.

"I guess that means you are the interloper."

"Interloper?"

"Trespasser. Invader. Non-inhabitant."

"B-but I... My father had been working on this portal for a long time... And he began working even more feverishly after my mother died... So, isn't this world just his invention?"

"You're wrong, Sunny. It's yours."

A voice echoed around them both.

"Complete the trials, then talk to me. I will return you to your world."

Sunny and Code exchanged worried glances before Sunny yelled back.

"What trials must I complete?"

"Take the book. All the pages are blank except the first. Follow the instructions written there. Once you have completed that trial, the second page will appear. Keep going until the last blank page is filled, then bring the book to me. If the book is to be destroyed before it reaches me..."

Silence.

"...then your life is forfeit."

And just like her confidence, the presence was gone.

Shaking her head in worry, she turned to Code.

"Is the book here in the ruins?"

"It was. I have it now."

Code reached out and handed her the book.

Sunny opened it to the first page, which was blank. Suddenly, words began to appear.

Sunny blinked and began to read them.

"First, the trial of courage. Follow the moon into a far away land. Cross the barrier and dusk will show you the way."

Looking at Code and exchanging farewells, she put the book in her pocket, and began to follow the wayward moon.
