Mainly airbrushing, burn tool, and smudge tool used

Inspired by the 'Lab Rat' comic, this piece is an attempt to blend that comic's style with that of my own. I wanted to have her in motion and faceless, as I believe that it serves to represent Chell's character as a silent, compliant heroine. She wouldn't be the type to sit there all cool-like posing with her Portal gun, so I didn't want to depict her that way. One problem I ran into, was that originally I wanted Chell to be falling (instead of running). I ran into problems with her hair, as having it all blowing upwards in the wind made her look like a crazy cat lady. So after some painstaking alterations, Chell became a runner.

(note: I originally wanted her falling out of a blue portal and into an orange one, but man, are those portals hard to draw)
