Description
When i love you,
I can't stop wondering,
Why you're always at the forefront of my mind,
And my heart starts pounding.

I'm at a wedding,
And all i think about is you,
I try to change my thoughts,
But I only seem to think about you harder.

I talk to you the next day,
But instead of telling you how i feel,
I go and tell you how much i despise you,
And I end up doing the exact opposite of what i intended.

I've driven you away now,
And now i've driven myself into a hole,
Things will probably never be the same,
Now that i have sealed the entrance to my heart.

A few months later,
I'm walking around in school,
When all of a sudden you pop into my mind,
And i run to the bathroom and cry until school is over.

I go home and walk inside,
I stop by the counter,
And pick up a knife,
I head upstairs and lie down on the bed.

I lift the knife over my heart thinking,
'I've had my heart stabbed so many times,
Maybe its time for the last one,'
I put the point of the knife on my skin.

Tears flood my eyes,
And i throw the knife,
It lands in the wall to the hilt,
And I curl up in a ball and cry myself to sleep.

The next day you are gone from my mind,
But the reminder of what i almost did sticks out from the wall,
I throw the knife away,
And lock the door of you in my mind.

Years have passed,
And now I see you again,
I walk up to you and say hi,
And you pull me into a hug and tell me, "I was lost without you."

I get over my shock and hug you back,
Against your chest i say, "I was broken without you,"
You hold me close and don't let go,
You ask me, "Why did i ever let you go?"

I look up past the tears in my eyes,
and i see those same crystaline tears lining yours,
I give a shaky smile and say,
"I've always wanted to tell you I love you."

You return that shaky smile and say,
"When i let you go,
I figured out that day,
That I love you too."

You lean in and kiss me,
And i fall into that kiss thinking,
'This is what my heart has always wanted,'
And then i kiss you back.

Months later after that first meeting,
We are laying in your bed,
Staring at each other,
You pull out a ring.

You ask me,
"Will you marry me?"
I look up into your eyes,
And see my future and tell you "Yes."

Months later on the day of our wedding,
My heart is pounding as the preacher asks the question,
"Will you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
I have been waiting so long to say, "I do."

Years later I'm staring at you,
You're holding your one year old son,
And playing with your four year old daughter,
And all i can think is, "The first time i saw him I loved him."
