Someone should make a little story about L and Friend against each other, where L is trying to solve the case of who the Friend is.

Now here's a match I can get into, I reckon it'd go something like this:
Friend kills L and strengthens his grip on the world -> L's successors end up killing friend to stop his atrocities -> second Friend takes over the world despite the successors best efforts -> L is comes back to life (because the plot says so) and overthrows second Friends control on the world.
