Description
Asafian Deadlands are characterized by the Chokes - sudden bursts of massive amounts of Carbon Monoxide that suffocate the already dead realm. Theory holds that there must be huge amounts of CO2 deep within the planet which is undergoing a natural (?) process of electrolysis into O2 and CO, and this must be the opposite burst from the oxygen mountains. But if so, why would Oxygen only burst from the crystal mountains, and the CO only from the Deadlands? That's one of the mysteries of Asaf.---
This gallery is dedicated to the worlds of Expanding Space RPG Universe, where you will find the settings where our sessions occur.
Each gallery is dedicated to one planet. The artwork in these folders is matte-style landscape paintings.
They are all my designs and are copyrighted to my Borderlining Co. of Australia and me.
Here's the production pipeline:
- I do the conceptual design on paper.
- I paint the initial world map in Photoshop.
- Planet rendering is done usingΒ PlanetMaker (apoapsys.com)
- I use ChatGPT for contextual inquiry, exploring the world thoroughly through dialogue with AI.
- I divide the sizeable amount of text describing several world features into landscape prompts to use with AI. I like to use Grammarly for this, as much for its cloud capabilities as to keep my language as lean and clean as possible.
- I run the prompts using Midjourney AI and in-paint using my locally installed version of Stable Diffusion running different models as the image requires.
- I work with mid-resolution images up to this point to speed up the process. Now is the time to upscale. I use Nero AI for this, but Topaz works just as well.
- Voila!Β
It's a long process, but I like how AI adds surprising new elements to my art - details that I wouldn't have imagined.Β
Enjoy!
