This supernal archangel is the chief among the angels of the Merkavah, and so holds great knowledge and understanding of the Ma’aseh Merkavah, the Works of the Chariot. As such, this is among the great and holy angels that can instruct souls in heaven. Rikbiel is a very great and lofty angelic presence, and does not appear alone, but always appears in the midst of a vast host of angels drawn from numerous orders of angels of God, and when emanating and appearing, the glory and power of this mighty Prince of God seems to ray out into endless space.
