Description
This picture I started on long ago, about a couple days after I got Twilight Princess... I've always loved the Zelda series so much and I've never really spent much effort making a picture to it. I've spent more time on this picture than any other one I've ever drawn, I've counted at least 200 hours.I hope you like, I'm very happy with it and I've decided to get a poster print made of it.
[EDIT] Did a couple things to the background to better reprisent twilight princess... and got rid of that annoying tree...

Woah . . . Now THIS is amazing!! Geeze, people who can do digital art make me jealous and blow my mind, even though I would never want to do digital art . . . I'm a traditional type of artist, I guess. But, wow, this is going to my Faves list! I absolutely loved TP! It was the second Zelda game I was actually able to beat on my own without my brother's help! That and Wind Waker. I could never get through OoT, sadly . . .

You should be proud! You're an amazingly talented artist! I hope to one day be able to match that skill! I mean, I don't use digital tools on ANY of my art so they don't look nearly as professional or authentic as your stuff does. I just can't use digital programs . . . I don't know how and I'm more comfortable with colored pencils and markers. You could look at my stuff, if you want, but I'm afraid I don't have any Zelda art (except for one).

thanks, not everybody is a fan of every art style. I'm definately not fond of some manga styles as well... specially ones with overly GIANT eyes and triangle noses.

Back in 98, when the japanimation movement was starting here in Panama, i used to like the manga style a lot. Then came the locusts and we had to go underground... no wait; having a flashback there for a moment. What i meant was that the subculture that emerged from that spoiled it for me.
I am more drawn towards the "cartoony american" style.
Then again im a HUGE Zelda fan myself. I'm currently trying to beat TP. I started it (After a year long hiatus) about a week ago.

Nice Yea actually, for me I wasn't all that into japanese animation.. when i started drawing it was my favorite video game characters right? Like mario, link, sonic.. that's what I would draw going up.. well why? because these guys were the heroes that allowed me to pass my spare time in an amazing way lol. It didn't have anything to do with the fact they were created by japanese companies.
I believe drawing growing up has put a permanent impact on my style.. I do like to try and do realism here and there, but I just feel so comfortable drawing.. well whatever it is I draw. People can call it whatever they want but in the end, an artwork is an artwork. some peices of art people like, and some don't. Doesn't really matter the style.. well to me anyways.

You got that one right on the spot man!
As long as you do what you like, it really doesn't matter who thinks what about it. You are your final customer... and if you are happy, 'nuff said like Stan Lee said, no?

Absolutely amazing in every aspect. I especially love the facial expressions.. Beautiful.
If you did more Zelda artwork, that would be most wonderful.. Some OoT stuff especially would be incredible!! =]

I'd love to do more.. Unfortunately trying to juggle work, family, girlfriend, friends and art is quite a hassle.. However! And it's comments like your that bring my back to my pencil. Thank you.

it's like, after Twilight Princess, he goes home with Ilia, but, even though he's happy being there and with everything being back to normal, he still has the feeling of needing to be else where. weither it be something random like a new quest or something or if he feels the need to go back to the castle to Zelda (instincts of the Hero to be with the princess) or to go to the Desert (other princess), only he knows. it's very deep and even though people 'jump' to them hanging out as a 'airing' thing to do, they could simply be hanging as friends so the REAL pairing could go anyway really. very nicely done ^^

Very Good analysis of my artwork. I'm impressed! I believe, just like Link and Saria, a childhood pairing isn't realistic. Everyone that has been in a relationship knows you shouldn't risk a lifelong friendship for a relationship. Sometimes it's best to leave things the way they are. On further analysis notice how they aren't holding hands or anything like that. It's just Link and Ilia, good friends.

Wow! Rarely do I come across a picture that I can't find anything wrong with. Links colour style combined with the slightly painted look of the background create for me a sense of realism. Also the expressions are so intense. Good Job!! :thumb55429690:

The picture is FANTASTIC, but... Just wondering, why are they hanging out in the hyrule field... And where's Links sword... You do know the place is filled with beasts/fiends right??? You should've given that fact a little more thought...
SO SAYS THE ANNOYING ZELDA FAN!!!
