Peridot and Flask Robonoids do not belong to me. All rights belong to Cartoon Network, Rebecca Sugar and the rest of the Crewniverse.One of my first shots at using my new copic markers I got for Christmas. Broke in a lot of my blue markers for Lapis and this was breaking in some of my greens. Idea around this was Steven making a plushie of a Flask Robonoid for Peridot after she started becoming more friendly with Steven and the Crystal Gems.
I decided to try a technique for the background that I saw when looking up some tips of using copics. You scribble with the copics and then dab rubbing alcohol on it to add some texture, kinda like an over sized colorless Blender Copic Marker. I think it turned out okay for a first shot but I want to practice more to get better at this.
Copic Ciao Copic Markers 72A set.
Strathmore Bristol 300 Series Vellum Surface paper 9 inches by 12 inches.
Q-tip and some 91% Rubbing Alcohol that was used for the splotches of greens for the background.
