The beautiful and talented Ms. Alice Eve as newly-promoted Commander Carol Marcus, Science Officer in charge of Weapons, Tactics and New Technologies, during her tense and troubling discovery of the meaning of data forwarded to the Enterprise by Starfleet Intel regarding mysterious activity around the Haq orbital shipyards above Klinyx'gha at the outer edge of the Kronos system and increasing space chatter about an ultra-secret Klingonii weapons development project code-named "K't'inga" connected to what's being referred to derisively in Officer's Clubs throughout Starfleet as Carol's father's "always-imminent war"-- a scene from my still-unfinished original STAR TREK ("Kelvinverse") novel, "Beyond Forever" (a title I came up with three full years before the release of the third Bad Robot ST movie).
