Colour has reached the next chapter in her life, known as the "Perseverance" chapter.

if you weren't aware, Colour is part of a species that changes their appearance when reaching the next "chapter" of their lives.
This species is a subspecies of changeling that was heavily experimented on with both unicorn and draconniquis magic. (this is totally not the best backstory every made as an excuse to let me redesign my main-sona. definitely legit, shh I don't know what you're talking about. )

So far she has been through her "innocence", "bright", "soft", "awareness", "Maturity", and "Developmental" chapters. (find them here: sta.sh/2ppehf0e95y?edit=1 )

The perseverance chapter shift occurs when there is stagnancy in life. Colour has reached a point in her life at which the universe is placing her in a position where things aren't changing and it's unsettling. In this stage her goal is to build up maturity and strength. At times it calls for her to go against what she was taught and devise a new solution. She has to learn how to be self sufficient and self motivating. This may seem like something simple but it is easier said than done. She is away from her parents and her life as she knows it and now she needs to figure everything out. Having your life in your own hands can be daunting, but that's what this chapter is all about, learning.
