Page 8.Drawing Idolatry's temple was seriously one of the most time-consuming parts about this page! I swear I had to redraw the thing 4-5 times over because I suck at perspective, buildings, and stairs....and I still probably didnβt get it completely correct heh. Well at least it seems like Fibble has hit some kind of safe spot...right???...RIGHT??????

omigosh, that Fortressed Altar of Hello Kitty Doom is just AWESOME. I want one!! I think I'm going to hire you to design my house someday! The screeching minions are so OBVIOUSLY driving poor Fibble forward. Even when he stops to take a breather, presenting a prime opportunity for the screeching masses to grab him, they *still* maintain their distance! And when he takes too long on the breather, then they all purposely shriek at him to drive him forward again. They're leaving him untouched, but harrying him towards... The Fortressed Altar Of Kitty Doom!
By the way, I love the tone I got from the screeching minions as Fibble starts cautiously going up the stairs. They obviously know better than to climb the stairs themselves, but they were sticking as close to the stairs as possible... and NOT because they wanted to grab Fibble if he drifted a little too close to the sides.
Instead, I got this distinct note of gleeful spectator delight, as if they were happily anticipating the start of a Very. Good Show! Even if Fibble DOES drift in closer towards one of them, that minion will still not grab him... because they'll all miss out on the show.
squeee! I can't wait to see what happens next. Next posting coming soon?

heh, I can't WAIT to find out what all those screaming demons are anticipating for Fibble. You're right that some of them DO look nervous. I noticed that some of the smaller demons looked nervous before, but I assumed the nervousness came from... well... being in the middle of a pack of hungry, shrieking, excited demons!! lol!
oooh, but it's somehow poor Fibble's fate that makes them 'nervous'? Suddenly, I'm more frightened for Fibble than ever!
heeee! you're right. My avatar DOES indeed come from 'Sita Sings the Blues'. It was a gorgeous animation feature, and the first time I saw it, I told myself 'I will make my first animated gif, and I will create it from one of the visuals from THIS film'

the whole story is drawn in a big scribble pencil-mess inside like 6 sketch books, but I'm redrawing every page and inking them nice and pretty before I post them up, so it just takes time heh. I dont mean to torture you! XD

Well technically all the souls in hell are suffering the pains of an eternity of deaths. so yeah they are all dying haha but Fibble in this case is still alive trying not to die XD lol

Well i know that the demons are torturing them to simulate death and eternal pain and whatnot, but its just that are they REALLY dying? If they were, then that would bring up the question, what happens to them after they die in the place that they went to after they died the first time...

Well in my version its like an ever-lasting cycle where they "wake up" from being killed only to discover they are right back in hell where they started and getting killed again. Over and Over and Over for the rest of thier eternity and never able to escape it

But in Fibble's case, since he is really alive, if he were to die, then what would happen to him? Would he just go through the dead's cycle? Or would he go to heaven or what? This is why religion confuses me. I want to start my own religion so it makes sense XD

Hah yeah thatβs okay. You know I actually study a lot of different religions in college and I pick and pull bits from many different stories and versions about what Hell is like and what are the rules etc etc. Some religions say you die according to how you were as a person but in some versions if a person dies in Hell they stay in Hell even if they were good (like in medieval stories or Hindu tales of heroes descending into Hell to save a loved one)...so in my version yeah If Fibble dies down there, his soul stays in Hell. And he gets the whole "tortured for eternity" deal just like all the other souls in Hell. But remember that Fibble is a special case, because he is cursed and there are some other rules and consequences that happen if Sin does not protect his master and Fibble's soul is damned in Hell....see issue 1.
