This is the Jump Jet Infantryman, GDI's battle-tested and combat-proven future of the U.S. Army's Airborne Ranger.

The soldier is equipped with a lightweight set of titanium composite wings and a personal jetpack, which allows the trooper to maintain flight. Additionally, the loadout includes an advanced radar designed to detect cloacked units and an M16 Mk. II Pulse Rifle derivate some have labeled as the "Airboost Mobile" model, which features armor-piercing and explosive-tipped rounds that can do crippling damage to armored vehicles, especially tanks and Cyborgs.

Though jetpacks were pioneered in the 1960s, fuel concerns "grounded" all projects.
