Description
I grew up watching The Big O on Toonami, and have always been a fan of the poor little guys who get stomped on by the giant godlike robots every episode. So I decided to sprite them in a tiny scale.A buddy of mine was talking about using a spriting style like this for some kind of numbers-based side-scrolling RTS game. Might be cool.
...Anyways, equipment wise, they were a bit weird in the show. First, heavily modified M26 Tank Recovery Vehicles, originally without trailers (which I took the liberty of adding). For heavy support, they had something that strongly resembled a DANA Self Propelled Howitzer, which they used as a direct-fire weapon, and apparently some kind of wicked anti-aircraft gun (to no effect, in the show.)
I threw in a forklift, because my original plan was to include road blocks that could be loaded onto that trailer, and then hauled out to whatever hellhole they'd be policing at the time.
Finally, I included that badass low-rider Police Car that would get stuck anywhere without paved roads. Looks neat, at least.
