Me, Dust, Fidget and Sanjin are investigating what remains of General Gaius' camp, looking to see if there's perhaps anything we can use for the battles that lie ahead.
I'm searching inside one of the tents, getting a bit frustrated at the fact that most of the equipment is broken and what little that actually works isn't anything we can use in combat, I toss the junk before I look over at Dust.
"Have you found anything, Dust? I haven't had any luck over here..."
He looks at me and it is obvious that he isn't having much luck himself either as he replies with a sigh and a shrug.
"No, seems most of Gaius' weapons were broken during the battle and there's mostly just junk left, at least we might be able to salvage the devices and maybe the engineers can figure out how they work."
Sanjin chimes in not too far from us, clearly excited about the devices.
"Indeed! Even though most of the still intact devices were made for non-combat purposes, I think me and my team of engineers can turn them into weapons that might give us and our Warmblood comrades a much needed edge over the mad king and his armies."
Both me and Dust can't help but to chuckle as we look at him lift and examine some of them, he has grown to become quite the engineer ever since the Everdawn Basin battle and he even managed to get several other Moonbloods to take an interest in engineering, so now he is the head engineer of the Moonbloods.
Meanwhile, Fidget's trying to help search through the camp too, although she's struggling to lift some of the smaller devices, she's exhausted at this point and she sits down on a piece of plank that's ontop of a crate, wiping some sweat off her forehead before talking.
"Guys, I am not too sure if we're gonna find anything really cool and useful at this point. I mean, the camp is in ruins and whatnot, what are the odds of there being a secret weapon or something like that still in one piece?"
I look over at her.
"Fidget, we have to search the place from top to bottom, otherwise we might run the risk of missing something that could absolutely turn the tides in our favor AND if the king's men come, they might take it back to him if we don't get it first. So we better keep looking."
Fidget gives me a look of slight annoyance before she replies.
"Fine, but I'm taking a break for a while!"
"Suit yourself, Fidget."
I say as I walk over to another tent, hoping there might be intact weapons or at least schematics that we can use, meanwhile Dust finds a rather filthy rock among the things that Gaius' soldiers had on them and he recoils slightly as the rock also has a rather putrid smell about it.
"Yuck! Why would one of Gaius' men keep something like this on them? If its a lucky charm, then its one of the most vile charms I've ever seen."
He says before he quickly tosses it over his soldier, dusting his hands off to get the filth off them, however the rock hits a rather large canister of some description that was ontop of a pile of crates behind Fidget, the canister wobbles a bit before it finally falls over the edge and right on the plank that Fidget was sitting on, making it spring up like a diving-board which sends Fidget flying.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
She screams as she flies through the air, unable to flap her wings because she was caught off guard and she's heading face first towards a machine that seems to be blowing hot air or something through a pipe, her snout gets stuck in the pipe and before she can react, she starts to inflate rather quickly.
All three of us heard Fidget's scream, turning to see what was going on, me and Dust shout in surprise as we see Fidget stuck against the pipe and inflating rather quickly, we both rush over and Dust grabs her by the tail, giving it all as he tries to pull her out.
"MMMMFPH!"
Is all Fidget can say as she continues to swell more and more, becoming a Nimbat balloon fairly quickly, I wrap my arms around Dust's waist and try to help him by pulling with him, but it is proving to be more difficult then we thought to pull her loose.
"Come on, Kåre, we gotta get her free before she pops!"
Dust shouts and Fidget's eyes widen in panic once he said that.
"MMMMPFPH! MMMMMPPFH!!"
She tries to tell us to pull harder, but it is impossible to say for her to get anything said with that pipe covering her snout.
Sanjin comes rushing and joins in on helping us pull her off.
"We have to pull at the same time, guys, otherwise we won't get her free!"
Dust shouts as he prepares for another pull and so both me and Sanjin prepares to pull at the same time as he does.
"PULL!"
Dust uses all his strength for this one and so do I and Sanjin, which makes Fidget's snout come loose from the pipe with an audible pop.
"Couldn't you guys have done this a lot quicker?"
Fidget says with a bit of annoyed look as she isn't too happy about being a balloon, but then she starts to float away because of the hot air that the pipe had gotten into her.
"Eeeek! Guys!"
She yelps as Dust grabs her tail yet again and I help to hold her down.
"Well, this is turning out to be an interesting day..."
Dust says with a bit of a smirk, amused at that Fidget has become a rather large balloon, all while she's pouting over having no control over where to fly anymore.

Yet another commission I've gotten from , this time an inflation pic of Fidget.
Honestly, she's simply adorable in the game and one of the best sidekicks you can ever have in a video game too.
