Personality:
Ever since he was young, Proteus has always been a thoughtful curio, enthusiastic and careful. He makes sure that what needs to be done gets done, which has led to him being a bit of a jack of all trades. He does not mind helping around, but at the same time doesn't allow others to walk all over him; Proteus can firmly put his foot down when he needs to.
He's quite the role-model type, which may have been refined more from raising his children. He thinks carefully on what to say, and when put to it, can weave a rather beautiful language tapestry.
He envies the flight of linnys, but at the same time doesn't trust creatures with flesh and blood that aren't curios- not enough to bring himself to keep one of his own.

History:
Proteus is one of the few curios that can stand the Peat Bog- him and the other couple that he lived with there. His life of polyamory with his two partners in the bog was more than just a fun bout in the swamp, it was where he spent much of his life. There he raised his four children (and maybe another one or two that weren't his) and made sure that everything ran smoothly.
When he wasn't busy making sure that everyone had food and housing, he would hone his blacksmithing craft- he's no pro, but it was an honest and essential hobby of his that he worked hard on... And when he couldn't have a hammer in his hand, he took up the pen to write poetic thoughts.
However, it's been many years now. The kids have grown up, pursuing their adulthood dreams... and he's not as essential in making sure that the life is safe in the bog.

More recently, Proteus has decided to travel a bit and interest himself in the studies of flight, alongside a gaggle of mechanical insects that in which the list of seems to keep growing.
