Rhust. The mare whom had attracted Durango's attention on the day that Losi had been stolen away. It wasn't this poor mare's fault that it had happened; however, if she hadn't been lingering nearby then maybe the herd would still have its dutiful lead mare. Durango was to blame more than Ms. Rhust, but that didn't keep her from being an unintentional accomplice. The herd would relate this mare with the unfortunate theft of Losi regardless.

Rhust and Durango's interaction had quickly turned into more than just a simple conversation that day. The older stallion had successfully romanced her, and so it was his duty to keep her protected now. This was true.. even if she got side eyes from the other mares. Hopefully things would cool soon.

As the herd was led through the forests, and each member searched for signs of their captured Queen, Rhust allowed herself to be swept away in a swirl of silent thoughts. What would the near future look like? Would this herd, these mares, ever accept her presence amongst themselves? Would she make friends? Or had she already, permanently placed a sour taste in their mouths?

Would her foal be loved here?

Rhust's gaze wandered over her shoulder and towards her own stomach. She imagined it round and swollen, her sides being moved by her unborn foal's hooves. She imagined the sound of small hooves stomping at the ground. The thought of these things warmed Rhust from the inside.

This was worth it... right?

They would come around?
