Description A terrible drawing of Princess Clara D'Mari, one of the main characters of my "Dahrian Chronicles" series. (Note, "Clara" is pronounced "Claw-rah", not "Clare-rah") Clara was born in the Palace at Meovîgn in 1814 AY to their Royal Majesties Androu and Elvina D'Mari, the present (constitutional) monarchs of the Kingdom of Marin. Clara is a bit over 16 earth-years old at the start of "The Song of the Wind". She is a voracious reader, and a lover of history, day-dreaming, stargazing and many other interesting things. She greatly desires to learn magic (both in its practical and theoretical aspects), but her parents (well, really, just her mother) are opposed to any such "nonsense". Clara's older sister, Fiora, is a natural-born mage, and the amount of slander that she receives in the Marish Parylment and the Tabloids is enough bad, embarrassing publicity for one lifetime.

Curiously, for as long as she can r4member, Clara has had dream-visions—prophecy and clairvoyance. She has had a rather difficult time convincing people that her visions are real and significant—and by "difficult time", I mean that she hasn't convinced anyone at all, not even the Royal Psychotherapist-in-Cheif. Granted, that might be a result of the generally mundane content of her visions: Clara's prophecies tend to be about things like people stubbing their toes, or the weather being particularly hot, or of which minor Parlymentary member will win re-election—that is to say, prophecies of not very significant things—but, still—as she tells the Royal Psychotherapist-in-Cheif, it continues to irk her that no one seems to believe her.

Clara is somewhat of a fan of Inesto Cleddia's science-fantasy series, "Tales of Noum"—fantastical stories set on the ice-planet Noum, one of the other planets in Aurhìm's solar system.

Also, she is a bit peeved that I'm not good enough to draw her a decent-looking face.
