Yes Narang, Frederick Evans famously photographed these steps at Wells Cathedral in 1898 -- in my case as seen in Gus Wylie's The Encyclopaedia of New Photography and, less famously, in my own deviation found at [link]

Pardon my pithiness, but one almost expects Bela Lugosi to sweep down the stairs and bid us welcome.

I rember seeing this photo, in a book, ''the 35mm photographer's handbook''
By Julian Calder and John Garrett. This has to be the Chapter House ar Wells Cathedral.
I think it's very impresive, but i would realy crop it, crop it untill the furthest piller, and you have a perfect image.

This is a magical beauty, very surreal, I like the light, the faded/blurred feel, the composition is terrific.

this is an absolutely AMAZING picture and I can't believe no one else has commented on it.. this is my new fave today... wow. Maybe I'm just partial to shots like this, but... wow. I said that already.. didn't I? lol see. you're making me repeat myself.
