While watching the "Legion of Superheroes" cartoon I couldn't help but notice that many of the characters seem to be lacking that which we generally call "ankles". For whatever reason, be it an animation stylization thing, the fact that the characters in question are not exactly human, or simply that their clothing just conforms that way, the result is a character design whose leg just "melds" into their foot.

... And I think it's awesome!

Now I know that this design concept is far from new (I have seen "designer" clothing in magazines that look sort of like this, and I have also seen character designs who have no ankles or feet at all), but this is the first time I've had the chance to see it in an animated/moving form. Don't ask me why, I can't explain it, I just find it entertaining for some reason (and I hope you will too).
